Here are the answers from the quiz on March 9, 2021
1. Billie Jean. The songs are Venus, Sweet Caroline, Maria Maria and Meet Virginia - all songs containing the name of a Grand Slam winning female tennis player.
2. Kool-Aid. The groups are OutKast, Uncle Kracker, Kool and the Gang, Korn. They all replace C with K, just like Cool-Aid (err, Kool-Aid).
3. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Children’s book written by Ian Fleming; screenplay written by Roald Dahl
4. Frangelico. NOT Mrs. Butterworth
5. Diaethria. This butterfly has an 88 on its wings!

12. Haiti. (and Liechtenstein) At the 1936 Olympics. Haiti was not using its crest at the Olympics and Liechtenstein added a crown in 1937. Samesies!

15. Air Force. New Zealand Airforce. Kiwis can’t fly, man.

18. Yuri. The tipoff is Yuri Gagarin (first in space). In English, Yuri is GEORGE. Curious Yuri, a curious little monkey…
19. Van Halen, Wolfgang. Son of Eddie, and a member of Van Halen for years (but not inducted in the Hall of Fame, as an aside). His band is Mammoth WVH and Mammoth was an early name of Van Halen
20. Galapagos. Had to make the visual tricky so you could not just google the image…
21. Marijuana. Jay & Silent Bob becomes Bob & Silent J. The only word with a silent J according to Merriam-Webster is Marijuana.
22. Jefferson City. Jefferson City, Missouri and Carson City, Nevada (RSONCITY). Followed, FYI, by Annapolis, Maryland and Indianapolis, Indiana (NAPOLIS)…but not the answer
23. Nectarines. Geefle and Gonk were the characters from Sesame Street.
24. Oromocto. A town we used last year, but brand new clues.
25. Lefties. None were swordsmen in The Princess Bride
26. Rubble, Bamm-Bamm. No one said it wasn’t an animated character!
