YellowBelly A to Z for June 16, 2020

Hey kids! (in my best Krusty the Klown voice).
Welcome to June 16 YB Trivia.

Standard rules apply - send your answers to YellowBellyTrivia@gmail.com by 8:30pm on June 16th and you could win some prizes, courtesy of your friends and casual acquaintances at YellowBelly Brew Pub.

Let's start off with three music questions. The songs may play out of order on Soundcloud, so make sure you don't submit them out of order!

1. https://soundcloud.com/yellowbelly-trivia/name-the-actor-june-16  Take the first four songs, and subtract the last two. Name the actor (surname) who was the star?
2. https://soundcloud.com/yellowbelly-trivia/common-bond-june-16  All six of the songs or artists in this clip are ________ (7 letters).
3. https://soundcloud.com/yellowbelly-trivia/new-song-june-16  If you alternate song/artist/song/artist for these four clips, what new song results?

7. This brand, known primarily for one product, had simple beginnings when a surfer created a trademark. It was slow going, but three different incidents saw significant surges in sales:
(a) US Olympic Team was seen wearing the product

The arc went from a few hundred dollars in sales in its first year to a billion dollars in annual sales and the main product (the plural of the company name) became a household name.

8. In the above Venn Diagram, what goes in the middle

9. This band could have been called Phoenix as it was born out of the demise of another popular band. Eventually new band members were recruited and the band went on to win more than 10 Grammys.

10. This is a one-word name of three films (one that received Oscar nominations and two forgettable foreign language films), a first name, a one-season TV series, the title of poems by two different very well-known authors (and if you remove a body part from one of the author's surname, you get the other author's surname), and a nickname for both a weapon and an African animal.

11. This great king was the son of a great king and his grandfather (on his mother's side) was also a great king. He ruled for approximately 20 years before he was assassinated by the head of his royal guard. A depiction of him features prominently in two successful films with numerical titles.

17.  This word has a few common uses. The word itself suggests you look straight up. It was a well-known company with a jaggy logo, bought by another well-known company with a face logo.
