4. Looking for a specialized five-letter medical profession, that everyone has heard of:
- It sometimes contains a – or a /, and it is almost always spelled with ALL CAPS.
- You could say it is either an abbreviation or an irregular acronym.
- The weirdest part: To pronounce the profession, you say every letter (like you would say C-B-C)
- So, if the answer were Chiro (short for Chiropractor), you would say: see-aitch-eye-arr-oh (C-H-I-R-O) not KI'-RO
- We can’t think of any other contraction/abbreviation/acronym that has this property.
5. This name is on its way to becoming extinct, despite famous actors, sportsmen, and singers with this name having been popular all over the world. It was a top 20 name in North America in the 50’s, yet in 2013 there were less than 500 registered births of this name. The decline could have something to do with a sex offender namesake. There is a US city with this name, home of a famous musical family, and an Oscar and Emmy and Screen Actor’s Guild Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Give the dying name.
6. This film was a remake of a foreign language film. Despite the change in language, the titles of the films are almost identical. 9. There is a well-known company that dates back to the 18th Century, and while it now owns its historic property, originally the owner signed a lease for several thousand years (which might be a record). In 1914 it was the largest company of its kind in the world. The company paid half-wages to families of employees who enlisted to fight in the war. It produced one of the first trademark-protected products ever that is sold in more than 150 countries. In what city is it headquartered?

It is almost a border town, there has been a film about it, and a TV series that won Golden Globes, Emmy Awards and a Grammy.
13. This band’s trademark sound combines top musicianship and quirky humour, exotic instruments, and a high-energy stage show. One year, they won three provincial music Awards (Group of the Year, Folk/Roots Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year), have performed and recorded in Trinidad, and toured Eastern Europe. Instruments they play include many standards, plus: tsymbaly, bandura, telenka, and drymba. One of their songs is named for a European hockey player who holds a remarkable and likely unbeatable NHL record. The band formed in one province before a hiatus then re-forming here.

This word is best known as a plant, but is also a first name, a colour, the descriptor of two species of birds (like Dandelion Finch or Daffodil Duck), a mineral, a name of former vessels, a mythological figure, and 3X a hurricane, but not since the 70s. Its last syllable is a homonym of a musical instrument.
