Here are the answers to YellowBelly A to Z Quiz, Week 6.

1. Shapes: The references are Starboy, Ice Cube, Kite, Heart, Bizarre Love Triangle and Circle of Life
2. Get Smart – The TV show (and movie). The songs are Crabbuckit by K-os, Hail to the Chief, 99 Red Balloons, and Control
3. Washington – George Washington was only in his early 60s when he died but he looks, like, old old in a lot of his portraits. He was ‘promoted’ to 6-star general almost 200 years later
4. Recipe – The stones make the symbol for Prescription, Rx, is Latin for recipe.
5. Kendrick – All the others are places to live: Trailer Park (Boys), (Marie) Kondo, (Taye) Diggs, (Gregory) House, Pigpen, Shaq, (Nick) Cave
6. Libero – the opposite jersey worn in volleyball.
7. Joker – Steve Miller Band’s The Joker was re-released over 16 years after its first release, to #1 in Europe. Joker is the nickname of men’s world #1 tennis player Novak Djokovic
8. Twenty-three – The lyric is from Sk8er Boi. The show is NUMB3RS. John Doe has the upper hand was said in Se7en, and the DJ is Deadmau5. They each contain a number, which total 23.
9. Question (Mark) – all are questions: Are you smarter than a 5th grader? Are you being served? Dude where’s my car? Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? Who’s the Boss?
10. Constellations
11. McNuggets – Nary a McDonald’s in Jamaica. Usain Bolt ate 100 (foreshadowing) per day when at the Olympics in Beijing.
12. Ziggy (Marley) – one of (as many as) 11 children of the great Bob Marley – he claims his name is after Ziggy Stardust.
13. Xu – Recently added to the Scrabble dictionary (thank god).
14. Vanuatu – The provinces are named for the first letters or sounds of the islands. And won by (Spoiler Alert!) Chris Daugherty. Actually, not a spoiler – it happened in 2004.
15. Office (The)
16. Bird – NBA’s Larry Bird and WNBA’s Sue Bird.
17. Dominican Republic: Dome + Anakin + Reap + Pub + Lick.

19. Yesterday – The film Yesterday features the song Yesterday. The trailer has a clip of Jack singing to Roxanne (Ana de Armas – Ben Affleck’s new girlfriend) but it was cut from the actual film. In the film, John Lennon is still alive.
20. Architecture – we also could have included a picture of George Costanza.
21. Ursine – or ‘bearlike’, an anagram of insure. Only a half point for Ursidae because it does not meet the criterion of “anagram of something you do to your car”
22. Hound – The Hound, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Hound Dog, and Horse & Hound (from Notting Hill)
23. Indira – India, with an R (for Rupee) into it.
24. Edinburgh – an amazing city of our ancestry.
25. Provinces – these are anagrams of Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, PEI, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
26. n00b – n00b, noob, newb are synonyms and homonyms, with newb as a short form of newbie. These are all ‘new’ words with similar meanings. But if you are gonna be any of them, you DON’T want to be a n00b.
